GoMacau.com Blog Contest - Week 1 Winners
The Envelope Please
Apologies to all. I’ve been remiss and have yet to post the winners from last week’s contest. My hospital sojourn began the eve that we drew winners. The inserted metal spikes and artificially knotted shoulder tissue prevented me from getting to the computer. In fact, I’m sling-bound for another 5 weeks, so this is a one-armed post. Anyway, we’ve got a few winners that will each receive a 2-night stay at Macau’s Mandarin Oriental:
For the lucky draw portion of the Top-Dog Blog Competition, the winner is the Singabloodypore blog from, well, Singapore. The blog comments on “Social and political issues related to Singapore and South East Asia.” It’s a good read and updated daily. They cover a bunch of issues and their readers get involved in the banter. Check it out.
For the King of Fortune Lucky Draw Competition the winner is Pete C. based in Beijing. As many of you bloggers know, I sent many of you emails or left comments in your blog, letting y’all know that we started our Macau Insider Blog. Anyway, a bunch of bloggers didn’t want to get involved with the Top-Dog Blog Comp, but signed up for the King of Fortune Lucky Draw Comp. Pete is one of those guys. He’s one of the writers of the hilarious Sinocidal blog. They’re too “big and successful” to affiliate with little upstarts like us. (To be granted a footnote in the mighty pages of their blog almanac is like a gift of scraps from the King’s Table.) Anyway, in deference to their chuckle-inducing prose, I mention them here. Read!
The blog traffic winner of the Top-Dog Blog Competition is determined tomorrow.

Hey there! I’ve already thanked you by email, and I’ll be thanking you in person in a couple of weeks when I’m in town, so purify your liver in readiness.
I’ve got no problem with affiliating with your site, but there are two main issues at hand. 1) Your blog is blocked in China, you may want to do something about that and 2) everything on Sinocidal is a committee decision and, as I always say, if the Jews had formed a committee they’d still be in fkn Egypt.
It’s Pete btw, not Paul.

Great news and I have already been informed officially via email. I have how ever had to forward the prize to relative living in Hong Kong as I will not be able to visit Macau this year. I will of course post any feedback I get on the blog.
Thanks for the chance to enter the competition and yes the blog game does exactly what it says on the tin.

Yeah, we’re remedying the whole “blocked in China” thing. It’s frustrating us.
I understand you guys need to run your site in a certain way. No worries. The committee reigns.
Peter, Paul, and Mary. Sorry abt that. Long day.
